This is what happens when a cookie cake is within reach and big sister and brothers are preoccupied with electronic devices while mom is in the shower.
This *is not* the first time this has happened. We have learned the long and hard way to keep things up high or behind closed doors when it isn't play time.
We have been trying to provide her with opportunities to squish, and rub, and dump, and pour. Trying to satisfy some of her sensory needs.
The most important thing Kate needs is for us to understand and be aware. To educate ourselves, and to absolutely not punish her for something she is doing as a "need" and not to be naughty.
When Ron and I arm ourselves with knowledge and understanding we are a lot more prepared for days like the above picture, and are able to enjoy days like the below picture even more!!!
