Mason is a 10th grader. He has an active YouTube channel (masontalks) where he makes sports commentary videos. He is playing Upward Football and Grizzlies Basketball. He also got a part time job working for a company right at the end of our road.
Regan is an 8th grader. She continues with competitive baton twirling. This past summer she did her solo at the National Competition in Mobile, Alabama. She has also become active in the local theater.
Jack is a 6th grader. He enjoys mine craft. He is also very talented with complex Lego building. He is interested in video production. He has been entertaining his sisters with a video series he has been producing.
Kate is 7. She likes collecting small figurines, Ben 10, Mine Craft, dolls, swimming, and is our cuddler.
Quinn is 6. She's extremely competitive, loves board games, basketball, coloring, matchbox cars, Paw Patrol, and minecraft.
Regan and Jack are involved in Crave on Wednsday nights, which is our local Youth for Christ Ministry. Kate and Quinn are attending Good News Kids at our church (also on Wednesday nights.) The big kids are involved in Teen Church on Sunday mornings. Ron is helping with that. I'm going with K and Q to GNK on Wednesdays again this year. I'm also continuing with Bible Study Fellowship. Although, I did make a change, I am attending leadership on Tuesday mornings and then going to the satellite class in Painesville on Thursday evening. Ron is continuing to work at Camp Wise, which has been a huge blessing. One....it's a job. But two.....we go walk there with the dog. They have a covered basketball court, so we use that a lot. We swim well into September. It's like our own park!
I've debated being part of a homeschool YouTube channel and answering questions on a weekly basis. I just can't get past the video taping myself thing. I'd also like to share some of the things I'm doing with the girls. I do think the resources are sadly lacking for institutionalized, internationally adopted children. Other than put them in therapy and drug them. Or special Ed. I sat through and paid out of pocket for therapy. Only to be horribly frustrated.
So.....we are out here.....love our church and the people we've connected with. The kids are pursuing their passions, that's been fabulous to support. The little girls aren't so little anymore. Fun times!!
