Samantha Lister came to visit while we were there. She lives in Shanghai.
I won't go into many details, but we were blessed to get to have her stay longer than she anticipated with us!! She was Kate's first visitor :-) How fun....FBC family all the way on the other side of the world!! We were just glad in the end she stayed right in our room and we got to visit with her...sorry Dan :-)
We didn't really do much in Changsha at all. I think we visited and embroidery factory. Other than that we pretty much hung out in the hotel and bonded with our baby.
She pretty much hated all the food we tried to feed her. We were much more successful if we just fed her at the resturant!
There was duck tongue, eel, snake, all kinds of yummy things.
We mainly fed her congee, steamed egg, and rice!
The absolute funniest thing that happened in Changsha was when we decided to leave the hotel to go for a walk. We had brought a stroller all the way from home. We had Darren, Zhou, Roger, everyone and their mother, helping us with this stroller. So we go to put Kate in it.
NO FRONT WHEELS!!!! NONE!!!
It was so funny. I do not think there were ever any wheels on it! I emailed Ron and asked him to look in the box that was in the garage. He didn't see any. I don't think they fell off, but I guess we'll never know. We left the stroller in the hotel room when we left Changsha. Nothing like dragging a stroller across the globe with no wheels!!!!
