I am a whiner

I feel like all I have done this adoption is WHINED!!!!! I think perhaps doing it backwards has made it more difficult. Meaning we found Quinn, and then have had to do all the paperwork to get her. The paperwork involved....especially in a second adoption.....is absolutely ludicrous. It is so unfair for a child to just sit in an orphanage and wait (and wait, and wait) when the child could be HOME.

We have already done all this one time. Why we have to prove our health, wealth, mental stability, citizenship, etc, etc, etc, again.....AND be trained on how to be parents.....it is just nuts.

In the meantime she's gone from being an 11 month old to an 18 month old with no end in sight to this process. Just more waiting and more documents. On BOTH sides of the ocean.

Crazy.

Heartbreaking.

As for the rest of us? Well....we are attempting to do some fundraising.....we are working on our QUINN PUZZLE!!!! and we will be doing some BABY BOTTLES for anyone who would like to save spare change for Quinn. ANY and EVERYTHING will help us get closer to paying all those wonderful adoption costs!!!!

This week was *busy*

Monday we were actually home...and I think it was kind of crummy weather, warm, but wet and a bit rainy.

Tuesday we had our homeschool co-op. The kids love it. Even Jack. That just amazes me.

Wednesday I had bsf. The kids and Ron had awana in the evening. It was crazy hair night.

Today we went to the Natural History Museum. Right now they have an exhibit about "Mythical Creatures." It was really good. The kids actually had a homeschooling class that was about the exhibit. But, we went down a tad early and went through the exhibit. I never knew there were "European Unicorns" and "Asian Unicorns"  very cool.  Now my goal on my next trip to China is to find an Asian Unicorn figurine.

A funny story....there was a Narwhal tusk on the wall and we were all rubbing it and "making a wish" I said " Bring Quinn home SOON" so Regan and Mitchell said the same thing.  Mason came up and started rubbing it with us and said "Make me an NFL player."   LOL....what a Mason comment!!!!

Tomorrow we are HOME!!! I need to do laundry and dishes. Big surprise.

We did our process "backward" too, and were matched for 14 mos before adoption day. Hardest, most emotional thing I've ever done. May the Lord speed your process, protect and comfort your little one, and draw you closer to Him as you wait.
