6 months!!

We have been home with Kate for 6 months!!! Amazing!!! The time hss gone so amazingly fast!  She has progressed so wonderfully! She is doing something new everyday!

She plays peek-a-boo now, which is so adorable. She holds up her hands and says "all gone." She adds words to her vocabulary daily.

Today she was standing up and then falling forward onto the floor on purpose. Not sure what milestone that was...other than entertaining! She thought she was pretty funny!

Her best word is still "chickadee" although "tiger" is pretty cool, too!

Her sleeping is still not that great (so I should be getting myself in bed!) On a really good night she sleeps from about 8:30 until 5AM. I HOPE for that every night. But not all nights are good nights and she can be up for a few hours in the middle of the night. We have not figured out the pattern (or lack of one) yet.

She walks, but not much. Crawling is definately her preferred mode of transportation right now (well carrying is her preferred!)

She is eating everything. She had her first "whole" McDonald's chicken nugget yesterday in the car on the way home from church (yes...5th child...major choking hazard.) However...now she can offically be declared an American toddler!!....she's had Mickey D's chicken nuggets!!!

She still gets about 3 bottles a day. Two are usually Enfagrow toddler formula and then the one in the afternoon is usually a yogurt milk/juice concoction that Sally and I made up when we got home from China. We couldn't get her to drink anything when we first had her, so we came up with this and we are still giving it to her. It is some yogurt milk (that we have to hunt for...sometimes Heinen's, sometimes Marc's, sometimes neither!) and then yogurt juice by Gerber. We mix them together and there ya go.......Na Na  (kate's milk)

So from this point on she'll have bricks on top of her head because we don't want her to grow!!!! She's losing the baby phase WAY to quickly. We are rapidly having a lively toddler on our hands!! The next 6 months will be an adventure!!
