Kate got her cast off on Friday....yay!!!! Now she just has on a big bandage, which is actually kind of hard to get through clothes. It is a bit harder than the cast was. But, she only has it through the weekend. Then we can take it off.
The dr said we should treat her thumb as we would treat any "open wound" and we need to let the scab heal.
I think I need to read up on "open wounds."
I am a bit afraid to take off the bandage. And I am worried about her picking at the scab.
Plus, the dr pointed out the wound goes down to the bone (great.)
Nothing like a little stress.
I'm just so glad that cast is off!!!! Happy dance.....
