ANTSY!!!

So a whole bunch of people got their travel approvals yesterday. Many were issued in less than two weeks!!! I have gone through a range of emotions in the last week. First, I was saying I absolutely would FREAK if we got travel approval next week, I am NOT ready and could not possibly go. But, when the TA's started arriving yesterday I started to think "whoa, we could get ours next week!!!! REALLY!!!"

HOWEVER. Being Ch*na, we could also get ours in 3 weeks. I know that. It is just how Ch*na is. No real consistency.

BUT....yipers....we could get ours next week!!!!!

I have GOT to get things organized before I go or my kids are going to do the wii, xbox and netflix for two weeks. That just fries me, but at the same time I'm like, "who cares!?! Let's get on a plane!!!!"

I spoke with Todd, the travel agent this week. I am happy with our "plan" of attack :)  I think we are going to try a different route this trip, but we'll see how flights look when we actually get TA. We are skipping Be*jing all together, and it looks like we can fly right to our province if we go to the west coast first and then to Seoul. And we want to fly out of Guangzhou rather than Hong Kong, so we'll come back to the west coast again. We are good with skipping Chicago :)  O'Hare once with a Chinese baby was good for me. Last time we took some scary van to Hong Kong and flew to Chicago. That was weird, long and scary.

Aside from waiting, waiting on adoption, we have been busy, busy with life.

Mitchell is doing a performance with gymnastics at the Lake County Captains Game on Wednesday night.

Regan has continued through the summer with baton.

Our neighbors have been on vacation, so Ron has been on "animal" duty, and all the kids like to go help.

I think Mason is going to start a homeschool basketball this Monday night. He wants to try it, and I am interested in encouraging him (with the hopes of steering him toward that rather than school and football!!!)
