Yesterday we took the death march, I mean nice walk, over to "the island." If I ever adopt again....which in itself would be a major miracle, I am staying back on the island. I much prefer the quiet over there. That is where we stayed when we adopted Kate.
We walked through the pet market and spice market to get over there. It is so humid you just end up drenched.
We dropped off laundry at Jennifer's where the just took our stuff but didn't write down how much stuff or our names. Hopefully we'll get it all back. She did our laundry last time, so I guess I'm not terribly concerned. There are one pair of shorts I want back but other than that I guess it wouldn't be terrible if it were lost. More room in the suitcase anyway.
We shopped at a shop next to the victory. I wanted a bracelet and that is where we had shopped last adoption.
Then we took some pictures by a few of the sculptures. Kate was quite a ham for the locals.
We ate at Lucy's which is pretty much a tradition for adoptive families. Then we went to a playground behind Lucy's for Kate to play on.
There was a singing group there that Kate was enthralled with. She chose to listen to them rather than play on the playground. She danced and sang.
Today we went to the American embassy where I had to take an oath that all of our paperwork was true. Quinn's visa will be issued tomorrow. We will go to hong kong on Thursday and then leave for Cleveland early Friday morning.
