It has been kinda quiet around here the last couple of days. My kids hate it when we are home and have quiet days. I like it and need it!!
We have so much laundry that needs to be done it is crazy. I have thought about how to cut down on laundry and can't come up with anything at all. Some people limit the amount of clothing their kids own. That doesn't really seem to work for us. So we just live in laundry chaos. The one thing that seems to help is keeping everyone's laundry separate. Kate and Quinn's is done together. Mason and Jack's is done together. I do one load of whites and then towels. And sheets of course.
I know I talk about laundry a lot. I do it a lot. I make Ron do his own. I wash it but he puts it away....which I am very thankful for! Regan also puts her own laundry away. The boys.....well...we are working on it.
Mitchell is starting a volunteer position at the gym today. He will be working on Tuesdays with the boys gymnastics classes and lower level team. He's excited about it. I'm glad he gets the opportunity....although I get to drive to mayfield another day.
Today Kate watched Sesame Street and actually participated in the show. Normally she hates Sesame Street and has never paid any attention to it.
I am not a big Jen Hatmaker fan at all, but I did see this thing on her blog today about Christmas. We have lots of issues figuring out gifts. Jen suggested this....
Kids get 4 gifts....
One they want, one they need, one they wear, one they read
I thought that was a really good idea. I think we may try it this year.

Yay to you Bridget! My sister was telling me about this Jen Hatmaker. I looked at her blog and could not find what I was looking for. You have reposted it. You are the blog that I read. Yep, now I am certain that this will be the gift giving idea that we follow. I have been struggling with keep Christmas about Christ and not so much "giveme".
Merry Christmas to you and your great family!
