I hate the holidays.
My grandmother died unexpectedly 11 years ago and I think that pretty much ruined the holidays for me. She was a part of every holiday, always. So just having an impending holiday is depressing, no matter how many years pass.
That and being married.
Not the BEING married.
But the whole "sharing" the holidays thing.
Always having to BE somewhere or WITH some part of the family for a holiday.
Somehow holidays have to many expectations and not enough relaxation, fellowship, and enjoyment......shouldn't that be the point??

I just hate holidays, all of them.
But, having 6 kids I really need to attempt to have some kind of holiday enjoyment at some time in my life (like before there are grandchildren!!)
So. Thanksgiving. My house. My parents.
We've got the "Tom Turkey."
Yippee Skippy.
I'm looking forward to the stuffing. We use a recipe Ron's dad used when he was in the Army.
I'll be glad for Monday. And a normal schedule again.
I like my regular life.
Oh....here is a bonus picture of Regan's birthday!!! She is eleven already!
And an add on......I finally made crabby patties......HUGE fail!!!! I smoked out the kitchen!!! We had to open the sliding glass door and all the windows. I'm not sure where I went wrong!!
However.....I did NOT go to chick fil a today OR buy chocolate covered peanuts.....and I WANTED to!!!!!!
