I am going to attempt to blog for 30 days straight about life in a large family. The whole concept is stolen from another blog (actually several blogs.) And I do not feel like I can use the topic "large family" because, their families have like 9, 11, 12 kids.....so really we are kind of small. When people have 4 kids and say they have a large family I'm like....."yeah....ok....." Not that I am even *attempting* to get to 9 or 11 (or 7 for that matter!!) Although I do admit I have been looking at the China Waiting Children recently.......
So, Day 1.....
Not that great of a day. Last night Kate was up at 2:15. Blech.
She has been doing so much better sleeping. I was so disappointed when I heard her awake. I went in and tried to lay down with her, but I knew it wasn't going to work. She was crying and crying and crying (LOUD.)
So, she was up till 5:30. Ron took over after awhile, and at 4 we turned on the tv to just let Kate watch tv while Ron slept on the couch.
We put Kate in her crib at 5:30 and she slept till 8. Now she is sacked out on the living room floor and it is 3:45. Not good......but oh well I guess.
She was complaining and complaining her leg hurt. She wouldn't walk, she screamed and made me carry her. I asked how she hurt it, she didn't know. She said "yes" to everything I asked her. None of the kids had any ideas or had seen her hurt it.
I called our doctor (at home on a Saturday morning) and he said to bring her over. Once she found out she was going to his house and would see his kids she had a miraculous recovery. Interesting.
We did not go to the doctor's house.
Mason and Jack both had Upward Football games. Jack's team lost. Mason's team won. Mason scored a touch down. Ron coached both teams and froze in the rain (it is raining!)
Mitchell had gymnastics practice from 12-4.
Ron went to pick him up and we are having pizza for dinner.
Hopefully we will ALL sleep better tonight!!!!!!
